To start off I had to look at the brief, and from the brief write up a detailed plan of what my short introduction would be about. From this I then created a story plan, showing the actions and positions of the characters, and where the camera would be positioned. I then created a script for my actors to follow and then I was ready to start filming.
I filmed it during school hours in a media lesson, so had limited time to film. I worked as the camera man, and Joe Shrimpton was the director, and Matt Lowe and Theo Whightman where the actors. During the filming, we had to stop after each shot to look over the lines as the actors had not had time to remember them, this meant filming took about an hour for 2 minutes of shooting.
I then had to bring the shots into the Media Suite where I edited it, firstly by importing it from the camera onto iMovie HD and then looking through all the scenes shot and choosing the ones I wanted. I then had to edit these scenes and cut out any parts where the camera had not cut quick enough, and then edit any background sounds.
I then made all the scenes sepia to stop any bad lighting effecting the quality and to make it have a 'Film-Noir' look. Then I had to add the credits and type in all the information that would be shown.
Finally I found some non-copyright music from the internet and added it in. I then did i final check, and saved it, so I could put it onto this blog.
